Glorified Fanfiction

Okay... I think Wicked is stupid and overrated... it's based on a BS book, and while the music may be nice, the story makes no sense.

Wizard of Oz was actually based on the beloved stories of L. Frank Baum and held a candle to his work.

So, yeah... I cannot stand how people actually think Wicked is a prequel to Wizard of Oz. It's not. It's glorified fanfiction.

And what I hate is how so many people love Elphaba because of the success of the musical. The Wicked Witch was a perfect villain... no sympathy-inducing back story was needed. We all loved her for being a bitch.

So, here we have the REAL Wicked Witch of the West chewing Elphie-blah out.

Also, I hate the name Elphaba... what the frick? I know it's based on L. Frank Baum's name, but it's a stupid name. The woman in Wizard of Oz who became her was called Elmira... so to me, that, or something similar (like Elvira), is a much more fitting name for the witch.

Sorry if you're a fan of Wicked... but I'm not.

EDIT: All right, ~TherealRNO, you are getting blocked... because you cannot stop trying to start fights over the image and my opinions. I don't care if you think differently than I do, but your comments and constant harassment is getting old. I respect that you like it, so please respect that I do not and stop trying to pick fights. Can't we just agree to disagree? Why is that you can't just leave well enough alone and move on? I don't go onto people's Wicked fanart and start fights with everyone I can find.
