The 2011 Fail Awards and Announcements

Okay guys! Happy New Year!

Ah, 2012 will no doubt be a good year... full of fails and lulz and all around stupidity. But I feel we should reflect on 2011's fails, and award those certain few that just made the year so humorous. So, I am pleased to present...

"The Annual Fail Awards!"

Just a few things to point out here... we will be talking about incidents and not people. And don't take these things seriously.

Now then, let's begin!

I've broken down the awards into certain categories. Here they are...

Biggest Fail from Fanboy Rage
Biggest Fail from Fangirl Rage
Biggest Fail from a Male
Biggest Fail from a Female

These awards shall be dealt out to the incidents I think best deserve them... so, let's begin.

The Biggest Fail from Fanboy Rage goes to... *drumroll*

The collective fan rage of all of the Rosalina fanboys I encountered in 2011. All three of the ones I met overreacted to a crack couple I made, and then proceeded to act ridiculous in some way.

Fanboy 1 blocked me and then has since left DA...
Fanboy 2 got banned for acting inappropriately...
And Fanboy 3 seems to think I'm the worst thing since cancer...

In all honesty, I do think there's hope for Fanboy 3. And I hope 2012 brings good things his way. He's not a bad guy and he certainly isn't the worst of the three fanboys I mentioned. But he does need to learn to respect other opinions better, because that's where all his troubles started. I wish him luck in the new year.

The Biggest Fail from Fangirl Rage goes to... *drumroll*

The incident I'd like to call "Jesus didn't make My Little Pony."

Some fangirl flew into a rage when I told her in a polite way that Jesus didn't make My Little Pony. She blamed me when DA removed her art for copyright reasons (I didn't even report the images) and still thinks I'm somehow responsible for it, even though people explained to her why I'm not. She thinks I'm a demon and evil, wishes me to burn in Hell, and thinks I need to be hospitalized for being mean. Not even kidding here...

If she is able to get the pole out of her rear, I see some hope for her. But I doubt she will since she's still holding a grudge over something which doesn't exist.

The Biggest Fail from a Male goes to... *drumroll*

Falling for a joke link and failing to grasp it when it's explained to you...

You know, when someone falls for my joke link, I usually deny calling them annoying and say I don't even know them. Then after a while, they either get it or I explain it. There was no explaining for this guy. He literally thought I was lying about the link, and even threatened reporting me for it... even though DA allows it. I even told him DA allowed the link and he still didn't get it. When he finally got it through his thick head, he pretended he knew it was a joke link all along. Yeah right. He then took an odd turn during the debate and started sexual foreplay with me... which I turned down because I have brain matter.

I don't see much hope for this guy in 2012... but if he makes a turn for the better, good for him I guess.

And the Biggest Fail from a Female goes to... *drumroll*

The incident I'd like to call, "You're always bullying gay people."

This user who said the lie you just read had a long and odd history with me here on DA. But this incident took the Fail Cake when it came down to it, because she wasn't even trying to see reason when I explained my side to her. What's worse was she tried to blame her OCD and anxiety for this whole mess and made an attempt to paint herself out to be the victim when I got a bit defensive, even though she started the whole mess.

Look, I'm tired of repeating myself so I'll make this brief. Regardless of my religious upbringing... I don't hate gays, I don't bully or bash them, and I don't promote hating them. But if they act like they deserve to be treated like special snowflakes just because they're gay, then they deserve the shit they get. Period.

As for this person, I don't see much hope for her in 2012. She deactivated her account and I doubt she'll be back soon. But if she is, I wish her nutty little self the best of luck.

Well, those were my picks for Top Fails. I hope 2012 brings us plenty more.

Speaking of 2012, there are some new announcements!

There are going to be a couple changes to LitFL... the biggest change being that I will not be mentioning any of the users I'm commenting on by name, unless they are absolutely breaking DA policy. The other change is going to be more minor. I'm probably going to feature more than one fail per entry if the fails are short, because I don't want to have a bunch of shorter journals. People tend to enjoy the longer ones, at least in my experience anyway. I will also be swearing a lot less, because I'm trying to make the humor fun for all ages. So, expect new things from LitFL.

I'd also like to give a more serious announcement... the reason I haven't updated much is because my fiance went off to Basic Training this past week, and I've been feeling very emotional of late due to him being gone. So, that's why the Fail Awards were late.

And in other news... I've extended the Solid-Rose contest due to lack of entries. We only have four and I really want everyone to have a shot at entering and winning. So, here's the scoop...
