I asked my fans and followers if they could pick my favorite celebrity crush from this list. You ranked them here as follows...

poll

Some got it right... some got it wrong... and a couple of your rankings were correct.

All of the celebrities on the list are celebrity crushes of mine, but only one of them is my number one favorite.

So now it's time for me to rank them. Here are...

P-R's Top 5 Celebrity Crushes of All Time

Please note: My number one celebrity crush must meet this list of criteria, which I shared last night...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's musically talented.
He's a husband and father.
He's aged very well.
I've grown up watching his stuff.

There is only one man on this list who has all of these factors.

Number 5: Rob Lowe (Poll Number 5)

poll

You guys ranked him correctly! :D

Rob is definitely a favorite, but he does take the last spot on this list.

These are my favorite roles of his...

poll
As Benjamin Kane, the villain in Wayne's World

poll
As Paul Barish, the villain in Tommy Boy

poll
As Nick Andros, a deaf-mute man in Stephen King's The Stand

He's also known for Saint Elmo's Fire, Parks and Recreation, The West Wing, The Grinder, and Killing Kennedy... just to name a few.

And he definitely fits some of the criteria...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's a husband and father.
He's aged very well.

But I didn't watch his stuff until I was a teenager, so I didn't grow up with him in the same sense.

Also, while Rob can carry a tune, and used to be in a band, he's not much of a singer. But he is actually deaf in one ear, so I don't judge him too harshly for it.

Plus, this guy is conservative and loves to criticize Obama.

SCORE!!

Number 4: Gerard Butler (Poll Number 2)

poll

Yeah, he was number two on your list. I was a little surprised.

While Gerry is definitely gorgeous, (Scottish accents are LOVE) he certainly isn't able to trump the other three guys on this list.

These are my favorite roles of his...

poll
As Erik, the titular character in The Phantom of the Opera

poll
As the nameless stranger in Dear Frankie

He's also known for films like 300, the How To Train Your Dragon movies, and P.S. I Love You... just to name a few. (He's also going to be an extra voice in the upcoming Peanuts Movie.)

And he definitely fits some of the criteria...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's musically talented.
He's aged very well.

But I definitely didn't grow up with him... and Gerard isn't married, nor does he have any children (that I know of.)

But hey, he has a girlfriend right now. So the latter might change. :)

Bonus Fun Stuff - Someone took a clip of Gerry singing from the miniseries Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married and made it into a full song... www.youtube.com/watch?v=wceYBw…

Number 3: Crispin Glover (Poll Number 3)

poll

You guys also ranked him correctly! :D

Crispin is so amazing, and is extremely attractive to me. But there are two other celebrities who trump him.

These are my favorite roles of his...

poll
As both young and old George McFly in Back to the Future

poll
As Anthony, the creepy Thin Man, in the Charlie's Angels movies

poll
As Bobby McBurney, the undertaker, in What's Eating Gilbert Grape?

poll
As Lionel, the fashion designer, in Where the Heart Is

He's also known for River's Edge, Alice in Wonderland, Hot Tub Time Machine, and Willard... just to name a few.

He was also in an episode of Happy Days. :)

Crispin definitely fits some of the criteria...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's musically talented.
He's aged very well.
I've grown up watching his stuff.

But Crispin is not married and has no children (that I know of.)

Number 2: Robert Downey Jr. (Poll Number 1)

poll

I know some of you are probably shocked by this, but RDJ is only number two on this list.

These are my favorite roles of his...

poll
As Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Iron Man and Avengers movies

poll
As Kirk Lazarus (the ONLY guy to go black and then go back) in Tropic Thunder

poll
As Derek Lutz in Back to School

poll
As Hank Palmer in The Judge

He's also known for Weird Science, Chaplin, and the Sherlock Holmes movies... just to name a few.

And RDJ definitely fits some of the criteria...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's musically talented.
He's a husband and father.
He's aged very well.

But I definitely didn't grow up with him. Until he made his comeback after battling drug addiction, I'd never seen anything he was in. But once I saw him, I definitely fell in love. (Plus, RDJ managed to beat out Crispin Glover, and that is no easy feat.)

Bonus Fun Stuff - www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ8S6j… www.youtube.com/watch?v=1crxmB…

And that means my absolute favorite celebrity crush is...

*drumroll*

Number 1: Jeff Goldblum (Poll Number 4)

poll

I'm sure that some of you are shocked by this, but Jeff Goldblum is seriously my number one celebrity crush. I'm not kidding...

Come on! The dude is a nerd, and I love nerds. Heck, I'm married to a nerd!

Plus, he kind of looks like Waluigi...

poll
I did this today... and I regret nothing. You cannot unsee this...

And he inspired my design for Bensiabel...

If I worked for Disney... by Porcelain-Requiem Bensiabel and Prunella by Porcelain-Requiem
Tall and slender with a big nose and big ears? Check!

And he fits all of the criteria for me...

He's had a career spanning several decades.
He's played serious and comedic roles.
He's been lead characters as well as supporting characters.
He's musically talented.
He's a husband and father.
He's aged very well.
I've grown up watching his stuff.

The guy is turning 63 on October 22nd, and yet he's still my favorite from the time I was small. He's been in tons of stuff too...

From a nameless protester in an episode of Columbo -- his first ever TV role, by the way...

poll

To co-starring with Columbo and Cyndi Lauper in Vibes...

poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKSpTT… and www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QWXH8…

To playing the Big Bad Wolf on an episode of Faerie Tale Theatre...

poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZket9…

To playing Verminous Skumm on Captain Planet (I forgot this one...)

To playing nerdy dudes in Jurassic Park and Independence Day...

poll
poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJelEX… and www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxS0ki…

To playing Arron in The Prince of Egypt...

poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmBDY-…

To playing Detective Zach Nichols on Law and Order: Criminal Intent...

poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=D986sk…

He also played a cowboy/scientist nicknamed New Jersey in the most 80s movie ever (and a movie that's on my bucket list of things I seriously need to see before I die) - The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension...

Seriously... this satire sci-fi movie has Robocop star Peter Weller, Christopher Lloyd, John Lithgow, Mako... and it apparently inspired films such as Back to the Future, Men in Black, and Guardians of the Galaxy (according to people on the internet.) I NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

poll
www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCyyU0… and www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MqJ3i…

Plus, according to IMDb, when they were filming the closing credits sequence, the music wasn't finished. So the actors walked to Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. :B That makes me giggle... A LOT!!

Somebody put the scene to that song... www.youtube.com/watch?v=sro4uU…

And that's only a FEW of his many roles. This guy is seriously amazing.

Bonus Fun Stuff!!

Jeff Goldblum's son was born this year on Independence Day, and he loves to munch on is his dad's nose. :)
poll

Jeff can wiggle his ears one at a time.. (My hubby can wiggle his ears, but not one at a time...)

Jeff is a skilled pianist (and is in a jazz band with Buckaroo Banzai co-star Peter Weller.)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eFdyd…

(Here's a clip from 2008 of Jeff singing the classic Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. song "Me and My Shadow" with a guy named James King.)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7R0e_k…

Jeff was also in Stephen King's The Stand (with Rob Lowe.) He lent his voice as a radio announcer. (I can't find a clip, but the miniseries is available to watch online.)

Jeff has also been in the sketch comedy show Portlandia...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFdq-8…
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc9elD…

And, in the spirit of Halloween, Jeff Goldblum played Ichabod Crane in the 1980 television movie version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It's a little different from its source material, but it's a really good version... www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLzjaF…

Thanks for playing along kids! To those of you who guessed correctly, great job! (I honestly didn't expect anyone to get it just because he's such a goofy guy... :XD:)

By the way, you can still vote even though I've marked it as closed. But that'd be cheating so... porcelain-requiem.deviantart.c…
