Life in the Fail Lane: No. No. And No.

Guys... I haven't taken requests in years. Stop asking.

I don't want to sound ungrateful... I really don't. I know that many people here enjoy my art and I do appreciate all my friends and fans.

But it gets really irksome when you get bombarded with messages from people asking you to draw them stuff. And it happens for me at least once a week now.

Now, some of these people legitimately don't know my stance on requests and aren't trying to be rude. But I can't even tell you how many people have asked me for requests multiple times!

If I said, "No..." why keep asking? It's not like I'm gonna just wake up tomorrow and think, "Hey! I should drop what little free time I have and draw people stuff!"

Have you seen my lack of activity with even my own art? What makes you think I have time for yours if I don't even have that much time to draw my own art?

And I know some of you are thinking, "Oh, but you update your journals and comment a lot. Surely you have time to draw."

Yes, I do update my journals and comment a lot. That's because I have a smart phone and can take it with me when I'm out. That's how I'm able to update and comment when I'm busy.

I don't have much free time anymore, and what little free time I do have is mostly taken up with wedding planning, eating, sleeping, and worrying about my fiance getting deployed at some point. I hardly have any time to draw stuff.

Occasionally, I'll draw gifts for very close friends. (Like my Troller Coaster buddy xiaoniao, for example.) But even that's a rarity.
