I was watching a few of the Season Zero "Yu-Gi-Oh" episodes, and I found that I liked it in some ways more than the other series.

Here's why...

Jounochi (Joey) was a good-for-nothing bully, and that made him cooler in my opinion, because he was rebellious, potty-mouthed and tough as dirt. Giving him more of a "Hi, I come from a broken home, and have an abusive father" air.

Honda (Tristan) was one of those geeky suck-ups, who try too hard to impress, which made him in a way more enjoyable (because he had his own character, instead of being a more intelligent version of Joey.)

Anzu (Tea) was cooler, because she was really nice, smart, and didn't take crap from others. Plus, Miho was her friend, so she didn't just hang out with guys.

Yugi was cuter because he was more innocent and loving to his friends.

Yami Yugi was much more sinister and didn't ramble on about the "Heart of the Cards" crap every six seconds.

Duel Monsters was not the only game Yami played. :O

Plus, the theme song rocks. [link]

i LOVED that season. <3 so much. it's funny because i liked yu-gi-oh initially, but when i started subscribing to shonen jump when it came out (they were running the manga from the beginning), i fell in love with it all over again. x3~~ i agree 100% with you on that.

and kaiba had green hair, LOL. :XD: how can you not love that? and yay for the OP (i have "kawaita sakebi" on my ipod x3~!).

but anyhoo, i love your drawing. <33 the expressions are just too perfect and cute! particularly honda. xD

OMG! YUGI LOOKS SO CUTE!! <33 I stopped watching that show ages ago. Yami Yugi was all 'Heart of the cards' like every six seconds (like you said xDD)

I remember that season. I liked Tea's personality, I also liked how Yugi looked. And yeah I remember how when I watched the show, I forgot how Yami Yugi was all, "Heart of the Cards!! 8D" And I'm just sitting there thinking please, shut you.

I like this. ^^ Oh yeah, and NEVER change your style, I just LOVE how you draw different characters :heart:
