Okay... am I the only one who thinks that Red Riding Hood and the Woodsman would make a really cute pair in a Disney-esque version of the fairytale?
I know he was added to the story to give it a happy ending, but in one of the original versions, Red's a teen... not that little girl they always portray her as.
So, I drew her and the Woodsman... cuddling after he saves her from the Big Bad Wolf.
This is actual perfection. I wrote a short story, intending on it to be Disney-esque last year for Red Riding Hood. Like here, she was a teenager, and fell for the Woodsman. Well, in my take, he was a Shepherd Boy (Teen?), and the wolf killed off his sheep. So he ends up saving Red from her first attack, and joins her on a journey to save her grandmother, and ultimately, themselves.
Thank you for aking her a brunette. There are far too many blondies in Disney. This is fantastic, I must say. The Woodsman makes the perfect lover for Red as a teen.
Thank you. I based it on an obscure version I found where she fell in love with the Woodsman. She was older in the version. Sadly, I only found it once at the library as a kid, and I haven't been able to find it again.
Haha, I've always wanted a Disney version of Red Riding Hood. XD I'm kinda working on my own idea for one, but in it Red and the Big Bad Wolf fall for each other instead. |3
I understand where you're coming from, don't worry. I've seen many altered versions of it where Red "hooked up" with BBW myself, which is actually why I prefer Red/BBW. I do believe that I've skimmed over a play on Wikipedia where the BBW actually does attempt to rape Red (and then later on Red wears his skin as a new Riding Hood, lol).

In one of the versions that I read though, they said that the wolf was a metaphor for a man and that eating her really meant raping her.
So, now I really dislike Red/BBW.
Nothing against you... I just don't like them.
