Reasons why TT went downhill

Description

Hokay. These are my personal reasons why "Teen Titans" went downhill. So, I don't want people starting arguements and debates over this. Thank you.

YOU NEED TO FULL VIEW 'CAUSE IT'S HUGE!!

My personal reasons TT went downhill, illustrated into a comic for all to see.

Reason 1 - Beast Boy's lack of backstory. Sure, he was the comic relief of the show, but he had no real backstory. Even when he was with the Doom Patrol, no hints of his past were brought up. (I know his past was weird in the TT Comics, but they could've done something a little different for the show.)

Reason 2 - Raven's "humor". Need I say more than, "It was so bad, it made my IQ points drop with a 'THUD!'"?

Reason 3 - Starfire became the biggest idiot I'd seen in a while. I liked her too. But suddenly, she went from naive to total doofus. It was no fun... especially when they began making her talk like a nimrod too.

Reason 4 - "Titans Go!" appeared to be all Robin could say during Season 5. He hardly did anything, except give commands to his team.

Reason 5 - Raven becoming EMO is like something out of a bad fanfic that you'd rather not talk about. It just is wrong. Raven was unemotional and didn't sit there a blubber her sob past to only Robin. She also didn't laugh, cry or get overly angry... she maintained a cool exterior and was not constantly talking about how evil she truly is.

Reason 6 - Starfire's speech in "Snowblind" made my sisters and I burst out laughing it was so bad. It made no sense. She was basically telling him, "Go ahead and blow yourself up, just be sure to embrace it."

Reason 7 - Robin goes from cool, anal leader to biggest dork of the century. Congratulations Rob. You suck.

Reason 8 - The show began to suffer from the "Too many Characters, not enough plot" syndrome. And though I did like some of the new characters (Jericho and Pantha namely), hardly any of them had time to shine.

So, yeah. Eat up.

Beast Boy had more backstory described than the other characters besides Raven. All we know about Robin is one hint that he "has a father" (which we know is Batman but isn't explored in the show), that Starfire was an alien prisoner and who happens to have a sister and that Cyborg is a cyborg.

Raven maintained an apathetic exterior but the end of the world is some pretty extenuating circumstances, don't you think? I do agree that her and Robin suddenly being close was bad writing because Raven was literally closer to all the other characters in the show, at least based on what we'd seen. Really the whole Raven-Trigon arc was the best part of the show and it could've easily ended on that.

What's so dorky about Robin?

I agree that Season 5 had too many characters and was kind of all over the place. I don't agree with the people who say that the last episode ended on a cliffhanger, the whole point was that Beast Boy grew up and eventually got over Terra, and that the Teen Titans kept fighting the good fight. It was a metaphor for the fact that the show was also ending.
