Christ and His Bride

This is my belated Pentecost image. The Catholic Church is 1976!

Just an image of Christ and His "Bride", the Catholic and Apostolic Church. (Catholic means "universal", so she is the Universal Church. And even if you're not a Catholic, all Christians originally came from the Universal Faith.)

The reason she is pregnant, is to symbolize the birth of new Catholics. The blue dress is to symbolize faith, and the white sash is to symbolize purity.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father, the Almighty,
the Creator of Heaven and Earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord:
Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin, Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the Third Day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven,
and sits at the Right Hand of God, the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
